Section 616.1 - Reimbursement for assistance to refugees.

Section 616.1 Reimbursement for assistance to refugees. Reimbursement for expenditures and costs incurred in relation to assistance provided to refugees, entrants and other persons not currently citizens of New York shall be claimed in accordance with applicable instructions or directions of the department.

Section 616.2 - Appropriate sources of reimbursement.

616.2 Appropriate sources of reimbursement. Except as otherwise directed by the department or required by law, reimbursement for assistance provided to refugees, entrants and other persons not currently citizens of New York shall be claimed in a manner that results in the least cost to the State, except when the department approves alternate means of reimbursement for the assistance provided to such individuals.

Section 616.3 - Method of claiming reimbursement.

616.3 Method of claiming reimbursement. Reimbursement for assistance to refugees, entrants or other noncitizens of New York shall be claimed in accordance with instructions and directions of the department and upon formats prescribed by the department.

Section 616.4 - Reimbursement from other programs and classifications.

616.4 Reimbursement from other programs and classifications. Reimbursement for assistance provided to refugees, entrants or other noncitizens of New York by social services districts must be claimed against those programs which will provide the maximum amount of Federal reimbursement available, except where the department permits the districts to claim reimbursement for assistance provided to such individuals against other programs.

Section 616.5 - Other conditions.

616.5 Other conditions. All or any portion of claims for reimbursement for assistance to refugees, entrants or other noncitizens of New York shall, except when submitted in accordance with the direction of the department, be subject to disapproval by the department unless the department specifically approves the particular expenditures or costs so claimed.
