Title: Section 620.1 - Reimbursement for public assistance and care.

Section 620.1 Reimbursement for public assistance and care. (a) Expenditures for recipients of public assistance and care, or for other purposes for which reimbursement is available pursuant to State law, shall be claimed for reimbursement in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable to the program or activity under which the expenditures are subject to reimbursement. If expenditures are attributable to more than one program or activity, they shall be allocated or distributed in accordance with the principles of cost allocation and redistribution of reimbursement set forth in Part 602 of this Title.

(b) Except as otherwise provided by the Social Services Law, expenditures made by social services districts for public assistance and care and its administration shall be subject to reimbursement by the State. Each district may claim:

(1) the amount of Federal funds, if any, properly received or to be received on account of such expenditures;

(2) the full cost of assistance and care provided State charges, after first deducting any Federal funds properly received or to be received on account thereof; and

(3) fifty percent of any remaining balance.
